About the role
Altenar, an international IT company serving the iGaming industry, is looking for a Database Developer with strong MongoDB expertise. You will work closely with development teams to design, monitor, and optimise high‑load database solutions in a modern office in St Julians.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor MongoDB queries, indexes and overall performance.
- Analyse and optimise queries and indexing strategies.
- Conduct architectural reviews of database solutions and recommend best practices.
- Collaborate with developers to design scalable data models.
- Provide guidance on database usage and ensure observability via Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana and Percona tools.
Required profile
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Database Developer or similar role.
- Strong expertise with MongoDB administration, replication, performance tuning and indexing.
- Hands‑on experience with the .NET technology stack.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (preferred).
