Material Handler – Inkmill

About the role

De La Rue is seeking a reliable Material Handler for its Inkmill department. You will be responsible for the safe receipt, handling, and movement of raw materials and finished goods, supporting the production flow.

Key responsibilities

• Check, unload and load deliveries safely into designated areas.
• Receive security‑controlled material deliveries and prepare raw materials according to production schedules.
• Perform cyclic counts and routine stock checks, maintaining accurate documentation.
• Load materials onto vehicles, applying strapping, bracing or padding to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain storage and staging areas in a clean, tidy, and safe condition.
• Weigh finished goods, submit data to the shipping team and assist with fast turnaround from finishing to delivery.
• Transport process waste or destroy material following granulation procedures.
• Support the ‘Milk Run’ delivery schedule to ensure material flow across manufacturing processes.

Required profile

• O‑Level standard education with a good grasp of maths and English.
• Previous store‑keeping or material handling experience.
• Forklift Truck License and knowledge of safety practices.

Required skills

• ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) proficiency.
• Forklift Truck License.
• Understanding of safety practices and lean manufacturing principles.
