Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to support our client’s operations in Malta. The role will concentrate on commercial contracts, contract lifecycle management, and legal operations while collaborating closely with the Head of Legal.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts across various business units.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance and timely execution.
• Support legal operations and process improvements within the legal department.
• Work directly with the Head of Legal to align legal strategy with commercial objectives.

Required profile

• 3–4+ years of legal experience, either in‑house or in private practice.
• Law degree from an accredited institution.
• Strong knowledge of commercial law and data protection regulations.
• Proactive, commercially‑minded approach to legal problem‑solving.
• Experience in technology, telecoms, e‑commerce, IT or software is highly advantageous.

• Commercial contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
• Understanding of data protection compliance.
