Junior KYC/AML Analyst (Fluent English) – Malta

About the role

We are looking for a Junior KYC/AML Analyst to join Novum Bank’s compliance team in Malta. The role involves verifying customer documentation, detecting suspicious activity, and supporting credit applications while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform document checks for due‑diligence and KYC compliance.
• Identify and report suspicious transactions or activities.
• Maintain an orderly filing system for all customer documentation.
• Allocate required documents to support credit applications.
• Periodically review existing facilities and customer records.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Assist the MLRO and compliance team with additional tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Energetic, empathetic, and positive attitude.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Minimum secondary education and fluent English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Team player with a customer‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency, especially Microsoft Office for Windows.
• Experience with Outlook, Word, and Excel.
