About the role
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead the human resources function for a manufacturing and FMCG company based in Malta. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will be responsible for delivering day‑to‑day HR services, guiding the HR team and ensuring consistent support for employees throughout their journey.
Key responsibilities
- Direct daily HR service delivery, ensuring reliable and responsive support across the business.
- Manage recruitment campaigns from request to appointment, collaborating with recruitment partners and temporary staffing providers.
- Oversee payroll, attendance records and remuneration data, guaranteeing accuracy and timely processing.
- Support salary and benefits administration in line with internal guidelines and legal requirements.
- Coordinate agency personnel matters, including attendance, documentation and payment verification.
- Review employment expenditure, identify trends and contribute to budget forecasts and management reports.
- Organise employee training and development initiatives with managers and external providers.
- Develop and apply employment‑related guidelines, internal processes and role profiles.
- Maintain HR management system data and translate employee metrics into meaningful reports for leadership.
- Participate in HR projects that improve efficiency, simplify administration and introduce digital solutions.
- Coach and guide HR team members, promoting accountability and high‑quality service.
- Manage workplace security arrangements in collaboration with internal teams and external providers.
- Build effective relationships with employees, managers, senior leadership and third‑party partners.
Required profile
- Confident, hands‑on leader with proven experience managing the full spectrum of HR functions.
- Ability to guide and develop an HR team while delivering consistent employee support.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret workforce data and influence people strategies.
- Experience in talent acquisition, payroll, rewards administration, temporary workforce management, budgeting and learning initiatives.
- Knowledge of HR governance, policy development and compliance with legal requirements.
- Proven track record of driving process modernisation and digital HR solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across all organisational levels.
