Host Family Coordinator

About the role

As a Host Family Coordinator you will be the central link between EF Language Abroad and the network of Maltese host families who welcome international students. You will ensure that each student feels safe, welcomed, and at home while supporting families and maintaining high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit and onboard new host families across Malta, verifying they meet EF’s safety and comfort standards.
• Conduct regular home visits and inspections to maintain quality and compliance.
• Coordinate student‑family placements, taking individual needs and preferences into account.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for students and host families, providing timely support and guidance.
• Maintain accurate records of host profiles, placements, inspections, and communications in internal systems.
• Organise orientation sessions, appreciation events, and engagement activities to foster a strong host‑family community.

Required profile

• Full fluency in Maltese and English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Full working rights in Malta.
• 1–2+ years of experience in customer service, coordination, or a similar field.
• Background in education, hospitality, or a related area is a strong advantage.
• Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Warm, empathetic, solution‑focused approach and confident communication skills.
• Experience living, working, or studying abroad is a bonus.
• Additional languages are welcome.
