HR Specialist

About the role

As an HR Specialist you will support the Shipboard HR Director in delivering a positive, inclusive, and well‑organized crew experience on board. You will focus on crew onboarding, welfare, and engagement, ensuring all processes run smoothly and meet company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate onboarding activities for new crew members and ensure a welcoming experience.
• Monitor crew living and recreational areas, conducting regular inspections for compliance with MLC, HESS and company procedures.
• Support crew welfare initiatives, engagement events and familiarisation activities.
• Collaborate with onboard departments to maintain high standards of crew wellbeing and satisfaction.
• Follow up on corrective actions and ensure continuous improvement of HR processes on board.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Human Resources, hospitality or a related role.
• Educational background in HR, Hospitality or a related field (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, fast‑paced environment.
• Fluent spoken and written English; additional European languages are a plus.
