Head of Compliance for Crypto Trading Business

About the role

FalconX is seeking a high‑credibility Head of Compliance to lead its Malta‑based crypto trading operation. This senior, hands‑on position requires direct engagement with the Malta Financial Services Authority and expertise in EU crypto regulation under MiCA.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all regulatory matters, including audits, examinations, onsite inspections and ongoing dialogue with MFSA, FIAU and EU agencies.
• Drive MiCA licensing and transition, ensuring CASP/VFA policies, product features and operational controls meet EU standards.
• Own the compliance programme, board reporting and internal policy registers.
• Resolve legacy compliance issues while providing commercially‑focused advisory to support business growth.
• Mentor and manage a lean team of 3‑4 compliance professionals.

Required profile

• Prior MFSA Personal Questionnaire (PQ) approval and successful regulatory interview experience.
• Proven track record managing supervisory interactions with the MFSA.
• Current residency in Malta or immediate willingness to relocate.
