Head of Client Accounting

About the role

The Head of Client Accounting leads the accounting function within a dynamic Corporate Service Provider environment, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance for a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage a team of Accounts Managers and Accounting Officers, conducting performance reviews and allocating resources to meet client deadlines.
• Oversee preparation, review and delivery of financial statements, manage client audit processes and ensure payroll, VAT and statutory compliance.
• Maintain strict adherence to IFRS, GAAP, GAPSME and local tax regulations, refining procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Act as senior client contact, delivering tailored financial solutions and identifying cross‑selling opportunities with tax, audit and legal departments.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting (Bachelor or Master) with ACCA or equivalent professional certification.
• Extensive senior accounting experience in a CSP or professional services setting, with proven leadership capabilities.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in IFRS, GAAP, GAPSME and tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of statutory reporting and internal control frameworks.
