Finance Officer – Accounts (EU Passport Required)

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Officer – Accounts to join novumbank in Malta. The role supports the company’s growth by handling day‑to‑day accounting, preparing management information and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records, perform reconciliations and process payments using the finance system.
• Prepare timely management reports and financial information for internal stakeholders.
• Engage with business stakeholders and support audit procedures.
• Liaise with internal and external parties on finance projects, document policies and procedures.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to a strong controls culture.
• Execute ad‑hoc tasks as required by senior management.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in banking.
• Good understanding of financial regulations such as CRR and regulatory reporting frameworks.
• Studying or part‑qualified for ACCA.
• Fluent English with strong analytical and numerical abilities.
• Proactive work ethic and ability to handle time‑sensitive tasks.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel.
• Experience with financial software or accounting packages.
