Finance Manager – Boutique Hotel & Family Office

About the role

Domus Zamittello, a boutique palazzo hotel in Valletta, is seeking a Finance Manager to lead its finance function and support three sister family‑owned companies. The role is hands‑on, split evenly between managing the hotel’s accounts and overseeing the group’s other entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounts for Domus Zamittello and the three sister companies.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and present financial performance to management.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing and final payroll reporting.
• Issue invoices, handle cash‑flow management, bank reconciliations and ensure timely VAT/tax filings.
• Implement financial controls, monitor expenditure policies and ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax law.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks and tax authorities.
• Provide financial advice, commercial insight and identify cost‑efficiency opportunities.

Required profile

• Full ACCA qualification or equivalent financial degree.
• 3–4 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in hospitality.
• Pragmatic, hands‑on attitude with the ability to work independently.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting practices and regulations.
