Engineering Technician – Manufacturing Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Engineering Technician to join a manufacturing facility in Malta. Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor, you will ensure production equipment and utilities operate safely and efficiently through preventive and corrective maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and document preventive maintenance on production equipment and utilities according to schedule.
• Carry out corrective maintenance interventions and record spare parts usage.
• Support the Engineering Supervisor in maintaining equipment effectiveness and safety features.
• Execute in‑house calibrations, equipment qualification protocols and assist subcontracted technicians.
• Assist the Production Department with equipment setup for runs and perform cutting, welding, and other hot‑work operations when required.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in machinery areas and support pest‑control treatments.
• Follow all health, safety, quality and GMP procedures.

Required profile

• Relevant technical qualification (e.g., MCAST) and/or Electrical Licence A or B.
• Minimum two years of experience as a technician or in a similar maintenance role.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (6 AM–2 PM or 2 PM–10 PM).
• Good computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Strong attention to detail, self‑motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
