Data Protection Counsel

About the role

The Data Protection Counsel will ensure Kaizen Gaming complies with data protection and e‑privacy regulations, including the GDPR. Acting as the Data Protection Officer for designated entities, you will advise internal teams, negotiate contracts, and develop privacy policies.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant data‑protection laws across all markets.
• Serve as the Data Protection Officer or primary contact for designated entities, fulfilling statutory duties.
• Negotiate and draft data‑protection clauses in contracts with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
• Develop, maintain and update data‑protection policies, procedures and processing records.
• Design and deliver privacy training and awareness programmes for employees.
• Audit internal practices, monitor compliance and report metrics to the Head of Data Protection.
• Review third‑party vendors, ensure Data Processing Agreements are in place, and manage data‑breach incidents.
• Support handling of Data Subject Requests and liaise with supervisory authorities.

Required profile

• Legal background with experience advising on privacy risks and data‑protection projects.
• Proven ability to conduct DPIAs, LIAs and PIA processes.
• Experience negotiating data‑protection clauses in contracts.
• Familiarity with DPO responsibilities and regulatory reporting.
