Corporate Lawyer – Legal Department

About the role

BDO Malta is seeking a qualified lawyer to join its Legal Department. You will support team leaders across a variety of sectors, including corporate, commercial, IP, employment, gaming and fintech, while gaining exposure to diverse client matters.

Key responsibilities

• Support team leaders on legal and operational matters across multiple practice areas.
• Draft, review and approve agreements and other legal documents to ensure statutory compliance.
• Provide legal advice on corporate transactions, restructurings and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct legal research, prepare briefs and consolidate opinions for clients.
• Offer advisory services to management to ensure compliance with Maltese law.
• Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling, document management and project tracking.
• Attend client meetings, prepare documentation and support ongoing matters.

Required profile

• Fully qualified lawyer with a warrant to practice under Maltese law.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar legal role.
• Commercially minded, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
