Compliance Manager - Gambling Regulation

Job description
About the role
Playtech, a gaming technology company listed on the London Stock Exchange, is looking for a Compliance Manager to join its Compliance team in Malta. The role takes ownership of regulatory compliance across several jurisdictions, with a particular focus on Spain and Latin America. It suits someone who already understands the gambling industry, can work confidently in a B2B environment and is ready to work independently within a collaborative, international team.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and support the development and implementation of compliance strategy and jurisdictional compliance activity.
- Develop, monitor and maintain compliance control frameworks, policies and procedures, embedded in business processes and decision-making.
- Monitor regulatory developments and turn them into clear, timely actions for the business.
- Oversee licensing activity and ensure ongoing compliance with licence conditions and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external compliance audits, follow up on findings and remediation actions.
- Prepare compliance reports for senior management or the Board when required.
- Act as key contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring filings, reports and communications are accurate and submitted on time.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, share knowledge and support colleagues.
- Represent the business in industry forums and regulatory meetings, building relationships with regulators and external stakeholders.
Required profile
- At least three years of compliance experience within the gambling industry; candidates from outside the industry are not in scope at this stage.
- Strong B2B gambling compliance experience, with limited ramp-up; B2C experience may be considered if the move to B2B is clearly shown.
- Understanding of multi-jurisdictional gambling regulation, licensing and compliance frameworks, ideally with exposure to Spain and/or Latin American markets.
- Bachelor's degree in law, business or another relevant field.
- Excellent verbal and written English; based in Malta or able to work from Malta.
- Ability to work with limited supervision, make independent decisions and take ownership of deadlines and cross-team assignments.
What we offer
- An international compliance team combining individual ownership with close collaboration.
- Broad exposure to licensing, policy, audits, regulatory engagement and cross-functional work across Playtech Group.
- A culture that values ownership, trust, collaboration, knowledge sharing and professional growth.
To apply, submit a CV and a brief motivation letter covering your goals, current B2B gambling compliance experience and/or corporate experience, in the message field of the application form.
