AML Team Leader

About the role

As an AML Team Leader you will guide a motivated team to ensure strict compliance with Anti‑Money Laundering processes. You will collaborate closely with governance, compliance, operations and other stakeholders to uphold high standards in quality assurance, training and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily team operations, manage schedules, handle absences and ensure adequate coverage.
• Serve as the primary point of reference, providing expert guidance and resolving escalations.
• Manage ramp‑up plans, performance improvement plans (PIPs) and QA queries.
• Assign, create and update internal operational procedures.
• Maintain quality scorecards and training materials, ensuring their effectiveness.
• Track tasks, prepare reports and conduct investigations related to training and quality.
• Lead or contribute to cross‑functional projects that enhance AML best practices.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities, including performance reviews and development planning.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with Confluence and familiarity with QA methodologies.
• Outstanding communication skills for interaction with compliance, governance, MLROs, operations and cross‑functional teams.
• Creative mindset, collaborative attitude and strong attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Apps.
