Accounting Manager

About the role

An international organisation is looking for an experienced finance professional to lead accounting activities across one or several entities or regions. The role combines hands‑on month‑end close work with strategic collaboration with external advisors and internal finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting, trial balances, reconciliations and month‑end / year‑end closing for assigned entities.
• Support preparation and filing of VAT, corporate tax and other statutory reports in partnership with external advisors.
• Act as primary liaison with outsourced finance providers covering Record‑to‑Report, Order‑to‑Cash and Procure‑to‑Pay processes.
• Prepare audit documentation and internal reports while ensuring compliance with internal control standards.
• Drive process standardisation, automation initiatives and system implementation projects.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with regional, local and central finance teams and leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in a Big 4 or shared‑services environment.
• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages such as Arabic, German, Spanish or French are a plus.
• Experience working in a matrix organisation.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls.
• VAT compliance and corporate tax filing expertise.
• Familiarity with statutory reporting requirements across EU countries.
