Accountant – Junior to Senior – Malta

About the role

We are looking for motivated accountants at junior, executive and senior levels to join our client accounting team in Malta. You will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, deliver high‑quality accounting services and work alongside experienced industry specialists in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare management accounts, financial statements, VAT returns and ensure statutory compliance for a portfolio of clients.
• Coordinate annual audit processes, compile required financial information and liaise with external auditors.
• Review and quality‑check financial statements, VAT returns and accounting work prepared by junior team members.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing professional support and responding to financial queries.
• Mentor junior accountants through technical guidance, training, performance monitoring and coaching.
• Collaborate with management and internal departments to improve processes, maintain compliance standards and drive continuous service excellence.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in client accounting or professional services.
• ACC​A certification (completed or in progress) and strong command of written and spoken English.
• Good understanding of Maltese accounting, VAT and financial reporting requirements.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
