Technical Client Integration Specialist

About the role

Andaria, a licensed financial institution in Malta and the UK, is seeking a Technical Client Integration Specialist to act as the technical liaison for its API‑driven payment and card‑issuing platform. The role covers the full integration lifecycle, from initial technical kickoff through production go‑live and ongoing support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end client integrations, conduct technical kickoff sessions, map client use‑cases to Andaria’s APIs, and guide sandbox setup, authentication (OAuth, mTLS), webhook configuration and certification.
• Troubleshoot integration issues at the protocol level, reproducing problems in the sandbox, diagnosing HTTP, JSON, signature, idempotency and webhook flows, and escalating to engineering when needed.
• Own the developer experience by maintaining the OpenAPI portal, Postman collections, code samples and integration guides, measuring friction points and improving documentation.
• Validate and certify integrations through pre‑production test scripts, covering edge cases such as failed payments, reversals, 3DS flows and webhook retries, and sign off against go‑live criteria.
• Provide post‑go‑live support, act as escalation point for production issues, monitor API usage and error patterns, and conduct periodic technical health‑checks.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in technical integration, API support, solutions engineering or developer‑experience roles, preferably in fintech, payments or SaaS.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP status codes, headers, methods and authentication mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, mTLS).
• Excellent written and spoken English for documentation and stakeholder communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.

Required skills

• Hands‑on with developer tools: Postman, curl, API logs, OpenAPI specifications.
• Debugging client integrations end‑to‑end, reading payloads and tracing requests.
• Experience with AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate documentation or testing.
• Familiarity with webhooks, signature verification (HMAC), idempotency and async/event‑driven patterns.
• Basic scripting ability in Python, JavaScript or Bash.
