Senior Tax Executive

About the role

GCS Malta is seeking a qualified or nearly qualified Accountant to join one of Malta’s leading corporate companies as a Senior Tax Executive. You will be responsible for managing corporate and personal tax compliance, supporting technical tax research, and guiding junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate and personal tax returns, VAT returns, and related tax computations.
• Support technical tax research and draft opinions on Maltese and international tax matters.
• Assist with complex tax calculations and ongoing compliance requirements.
• Oversee junior associates, providing guidance on tax and VAT matters.
• Liaise with local authorities and maintain strong client relationships.
• Monitor tax legislation updates and contribute to departmental knowledge.

Required profile

• Qualified or nearly qualified Accountant.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a tax environment.
• Strong knowledge of Maltese tax legislation.
• Proactive, organised, detail‑oriented with strong communication skills.
• Fluency in Maltese and English.
