Senior Accountant – Client Accounting

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to manage a portfolio of local and international clients. This role offers the chance to move beyond routine bookkeeping and make a strategic impact within a growing corporate service provider.

Key responsibilities

• Own a diverse client portfolio across multiple industries and act as the primary accounting contact.
• Prepare and review management accounts, annual financial statements, VAT returns, VAT recapitulative statements, income‑tax computations and other statutory filings.
• Ensure compliance with deadlines and regulatory requirements, liaising with auditors, tax advisors, banks and authorities.
• Review and mentor junior accountants, providing technical guidance and training.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery.
• Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.

Required profile

• Valid Maltese Warrant in Accountancy.
• Minimum five years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a Corporate Service Provider environment.
• Strong knowledge of Maltese VAT and Income Tax legislation.
• Proven ability to manage a client portfolio independently and supervise junior staff.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
