Pastry Chef de Partie – Qormi, Malta

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Pastry Chef de Partie to join our central kitchen in Qormi, Malta. The role involves taking full ownership of a high‑volume pastry section, ensuring consistent quality and supporting the kitchen brigade.

Key responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the assigned pastry section.
• Maintain consistent quality and adherence to recipes and standards.
• Ensure HACCP and food‑hygiene compliance at all times.
• Manage stock, ordering, and waste within the section.
• Support high‑volume pastry and baked‑goods production.
• Guide and mentor Commis Chefs.
• Assist with events and functions as required.
• Contribute ideas to menu development.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of professional kitchen experience.
• At least 1 year as Chef de Partie or Senior Commis Chef.
• Strong pastry, baking and production background.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP.
• Ability to independently manage a kitchen section.
• Strong organisation and communication skills.
• Capable of maintaining quality under pressure.
