Maintenance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Manager to lead the upkeep of all hotel facilities, equipment and infrastructure. You will ensure safety, operational efficiency and guest satisfaction while managing a skilled maintenance team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, well‑functioning hotel environment and keep costs within budget.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance programmes and respond promptly to service requests.
• Ensure compliance with procurement, storage, safety and energy‑efficiency policies.
• Monitor utility consumption and propose cost‑saving initiatives.
• Keep technical documentation, certificates and records up to date.
• Coordinate maintenance work with other departments to minimise operational disruption.
• Lead, train, motivate and develop the maintenance team.
• Uphold health, safety, fire and security procedures at all times.
• Log and escalate incidents and accidents appropriately.

Required profile

• Proven experience in maintenance management or supervision within a hotel.
• Recognised technical qualifications in maintenance, engineering or building services.
• Licence A and B (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of health & safety, fire safety and statutory compliance.
• Demonstrated leadership, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in budget management, cost control and utility analysis.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
• Flexibility for emergencies and on‑call duties.
• Customer‑focused, proactive and solutions‑driven mindset.
