HVAC Technician

About the role

A growing company in Malta is looking for skilled and experienced HVAC technicians to join its team. The successful candidates will install, service, carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems across commercial and residential properties.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, troubleshoot and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment
• Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical, refrigeration and control-system faults
• Work on domestic split air-conditioning units, VRF systems, industrial chillers, ventilation systems, commercial and residential HVAC equipment
• Carry out system inspections, testing, commissioning and performance checks
• Ensure equipment operates efficiently and in line with manufacturer specifications
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and electronic control systems, including microprocessor-based controllers
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas safely and in an organised way

Required profile

• Relevant qualification or certification in HVAC, refrigeration, air conditioning or a related technical field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
• F-Gas Category 1 certification is mandatory
• Good command of English

Required skills

• Knowledge of air-conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation and climate control systems, including VRF and chillers
• Familiarity with microprocessor-based controllers used in domestic and industrial HVAC
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical HVAC systems
