Health and Safety Manager

About the role

TechBiz Global is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Manager to join one of its client teams in Malta. This role offers the chance to shape safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain health & safety policies, procedures and management systems.
• Conduct and review risk assessments, ensuring appropriate control measures are applied.
• Ensure compliance with Maltese health & safety legislation and company standards.
• Lead workplace inspections, audits and safety investigations.
• Identify hazards and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Deliver health & safety training, inductions and awareness programmes.
• Manage contractor safety and permit‑to‑work systems.
• Monitor and report on health & safety performance, KPIs, incidents and trends.
• Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree, diploma, NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent qualification in occupational health & safety.
• Proven experience in a health & safety management role, preferably in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, engineering or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of Maltese occupational health & safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments, incident investigations and internal audits.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to influence, coach and engage employees at all organisational levels.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with reporting tools.
