General Banking Officer

About the role

APS Bank is seeking a motivated General Banking Officer to join its branch network. In this customer‑focused position you will handle teller duties, support account enquiries and promote the bank’s digital channels, helping to deliver a simple and personal banking experience.

Key responsibilities

• Answer customer queries about accounts, cards, internet banking, interest rates and fees.
• Post and balance transactions accurately, update account information and maintain cash tills.
• Carry out teller operations while adhering to safety and security procedures.
• Promote and educate customers on the bank’s virtual and online services.
• Provide timely, high‑quality service and stay up‑to‑date with the bank’s handbook, products and systems.

Required profile

• Customer‑oriented with a strong focus on service quality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable, organized and able to work shift schedules.
• Currently studying or holding a qualification in banking, finance or a related field.
• Fluent in both Maltese and English.
