Director of Quality Assurance

About the role

Adalvo is seeking a Director of Quality Assurance to lead its quality functions in Malta. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) across all operations, driving a strong quality culture and supporting new product introductions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of Quality Assurance activities in Malta to ensure GMP and GDP compliance.
• Promote and embed a quality‑first culture throughout the organization.
• Evaluate operations continuously and implement quality and operational improvements.
• Support new product introductions, technology transfers and regulatory registrations.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the Quality Management System and define key performance metrics.
• Deliver GMP/GDP training and oversee staff training plans.
• Prepare, review and approve SOPs, batch and testing instructions, and related documentation.
• Review technical agreements with third‑party manufacturers and coordinate with corporate quality teams.
• Lead regulatory, customer and external audits and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Approve and monitor manufacturing and testing conditions at contract sites.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading quality assurance functions within regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP and related regulatory requirements.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and foster a quality culture.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global teams.
