About the role
The Commercial Tenders Officer will join the Business Development team at the corporate office and drive the end‑to‑end tender process for both private and government projects. The role focuses on identifying bid opportunities, preparing compelling proposals, and ensuring timely submission.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor bid portals, analyse requests for proposals and compile pre‑qualification documentation.
- Communicate tender requirements to senior management and coordinate internal stakeholders.
- Develop bid preparation timelines, lead preparation meetings and ensure alignment across contributors.
- Draft clear, concise proposal content that articulates the company’s value proposition.
- Support business development in prospect engagement and deepen knowledge of each opportunity.
- Upload and submit bids through client portals, including preparation of hard‑copy submissions when required.
- Collect feedback on both successful and unsuccessful bids to improve future submissions.
- Maintain an up‑to‑date database of bids, progress, and follow‑up actions.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, tendering, and bid proposal writing.
- Fluency in English and Maltese.
- Experience with government project bids; knowledge of quantity surveying is an asset.
