Chef de Rang – Fine Dining Restaurant (Michelin‑starred)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and professional Chef de Rang to join a prestigious Michelin‑starred fine‑dining restaurant in Malta. The ideal candidate has worked in Michelin‑starred or high‑end establishments and demonstrates a strong understanding of Michelin‑level service standards and meticulous attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional and attentive service to guests throughout the dining experience.
• Maintain a high standard of service in line with fine‑dining and Michelin expectations.
• Communicate confidently and professionally with guests, taking orders and offering knowledgeable menu recommendations.
• Coordinate closely with the kitchen and front‑of‑house team to ensure smooth service flow.
• Maintain excellent knowledge of the menu, ingredients and preparation methods.
• Anticipate guests’ needs and respond promptly to requests.
• Assist in maintaining the presentation and organisation of the restaurant.
• Handle guest queries and requests in a professional manner.
• Contribute to creating an exceptional and personalised dining experience.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Chef de Rang or in a similar fine‑dining service position.
• Experience in a Michelin‑starred restaurant or high‑end fine‑dining establishment is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of Michelin‑level service standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional, confident and well‑presented appearance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Good knowledge of food and beverage service.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a genuine commitment to providing an excellent guest experience.
