Backend PHP Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Backend PHP Developer to join our fast‑paced tech team. You will design, build and maintain scalable e‑commerce applications that support both internal operations and customer‑facing platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the e‑commerce platform using PHP 8+, ensuring performance and scalability.
• Integrate third‑party services such as payment gateways, shipping providers and CRM systems via APIs.
• Design, implement and optimise MySQL databases for product listings, customer accounts and order histories.
• Implement core e‑commerce features including shopping carts, checkout flows and customer‑centric functionalities like reviews and personalised recommendations.
• Apply security best practices, fix vulnerabilities and optimise site speed.
• Conduct testing, debugging and troubleshooting to guarantee platform stability.
• Collaborate with product, marketing and design teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing with PHP 8+ and modern frameworks such as Symfony or Laravel.
• Solid understanding of front‑end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Ability to create database models and write efficient SQL queries.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud or Azure) and security/data‑protection standards.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and independent, methodical work style.
• Fluent English communication skills.
