Assistant General Manager – Hard Rock Cafe

About the role

Join the Hard Rock Cafe team in Malta as an Assistant General Manager, supporting the General Manager to uphold brand standards and drive business performance. You will play a key role in operations, financial results, and team development.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate financial comprehension to achieve the café’s key performance metrics.
• Work closely with Sales to execute the café’s Sales & Marketing plan and drive entrée count growth.
• Mentor and coach junior management staff on financial goals.
• Collaborate with the General Manager to set clear operating direction based on business analysis.
• Support all departments in consistent execution of systems and processes to meet brand standards.
• Help build a high‑functioning team aligned with the café’s vision and values.
• Champion change and implement local and company initiatives.
• Foster a customer‑first environment and ensure guest‑satisfaction standards are met.
• Respond to guest feedback from all channels, including social media.
• Assist in staffing, attracting and retaining talented team members.
• Define goals and expectations, conduct performance reviews and hold the team accountable.
• Support staff development and career progression.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of hospitality experience, including front‑line restaurant operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or documented entrepreneurial hospitality leadership.
• Proven strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, verifiable by peers and supervisors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving capability with a consultative approach.
• Aspiring to become a Hard Rock General Manager.
