About the role
dbgroup is looking for an Assistant Finance Manager to support the financial management of construction and development projects at its head office. You will work closely with Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers, Procurement teams and external suppliers to ensure accurate project cost recording and reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Receive, review and process supplier invoices and subcontractor payment claims.
- Verify invoices against purchase orders, contracts, delivery notes and work certifications.
- Allocate invoices to the correct projects and cost centres and monitor supplier account balances.
- Prepare supplier payment schedules, cash‑flow forecasts and assist with month‑end and year‑end closing.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, perform reconciliations and support management reporting.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, internal controls and approval workflows.
Required profile
- ACCA qualification, partially qualified ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification.
- Experience in finance or accounting, preferably within construction, development or multi‑entity environments.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Required skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
