Accounting & Tax Services Assistant Manager / Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting & Tax Services Assistant Manager or Manager to lead a portfolio of client accounts in our Malta office. The role combines oversight of bookkeeping, financial statement preparation, VAT and tax compliance, and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Review accounting documentation and ensure accurate posting to nominal ledgers.
• Validate bank and ledger reconciliations, pre‑payments, and accruals.
• Prepare and review management accounts, FATCA/CRS reports, and financial returns.
• Oversee the filing of VAT returns, tax returns and tax refund claim forms.
• Assist with auditors’ queries and review annual financial statements.
• Lead and develop the client accounting and tax services team.

Required profile

• At least ACCA part‑qualified or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum five years of client accounting experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
