M&A Tax Professional

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an ambitious tax professional to join its Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) team within the tax function. The role involves supporting both local and international clients on tax matters related to M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, and ongoing compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in M&A transactions, including vendor/buyer tax due diligence, advisory, and structuring engagements.
• Assist corporate groups with shareholding and operational restructurings and implement related tax solutions.
• Provide high‑quality tax advice to clients across jurisdictions.
• Stay up‑to‑date with local and international tax developments.
• Support leadership on client advisory projects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with lawyers, accountants, auditors, and other service providers on behalf of corporate clients.
• Assess existing business operations and evaluate tax impacts of organisational transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, or divestitures.
• Review complex client financial models to identify and incorporate relevant tax considerations.

Required profile

• University degree in Accountancy or equivalent qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) – or actively pursuing one.
• Strong initiative, work ethic, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent command of English.
• Self‑motivated with strong interpersonal, organisational and analytical abilities.
