Client Relationship Manager

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Client Relationship Manager to support the continued growth of our Malta office. The successful candidate will develop and manage relationships with professional and institutional clients such as banks, asset managers, funds, pension funds, insurance companies and other financial institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted, long‑term relationships with institutional clients, acting as the primary point of contact and identifying cross‑selling opportunities.
• Coordinate end‑to‑end client onboarding, including KYC/Due Diligence, account opening and liaison with compliance, and manage lifecycle changes such as amendments and closures.
• Oversee product and operational support activities, including share‑class and portfolio hedging, securities lending, forex/treasury operations and trailer‑fee collection.
• Organise regular client review meetings, produce performance and satisfaction reports, maintain procedures in line with regulatory changes and support audit activities.

Required profile

• 2–6 years of experience in institutional sales within a bank, broker or financial institution.
• Proven track record in relationship management and onboarding of institutional clients.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, investment products and EU regulatory frameworks such as MiFID.
• Excellent written and spoken English and a commercial mindset focused on revenue‑driven outcomes.
