Client Accounting Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Client Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team, ensure high‑quality client service and drive continuous improvement across the department.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the accounting team, fostering communication aligned with company values.
• Provide expertise in primary accounting and Maltese VAT frameworks, reviewing team work.
• Oversee key accounting projects and support onboarding of new clients.
• Monitor team performance, set targets and manage workflows, workloads and deadlines.
• Mentor team members, collaborate with audit, payroll, funding and corporate departments, and identify cross‑selling opportunities.
• Assess and propose improvements to systems and processes, and support unit growth.
• Assist the Senior Client Accounting Manager with additional tasks as required.

Required profile

• ACCA qualified or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a CSP environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, Maltese VAT and tax legislation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Maltese.
• Ability to work under deadlines, both independently and as part of a team.
