AML Governance and Quality Control Specialist

About the role

The AML Governance & Quality Control Specialist supports the AML Governance Officer and the Money Laundering Reporting Officer in strengthening Play North’s anti‑money laundering and counter‑terrorist financing framework. The role focuses on quality assurance, policy management, audit support and training to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular high‑depositor spot checks and quality reviews across AML verticals (CDD, EDD, ongoing monitoring, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, SAR/STR).
• Perform spot checks on Supplier Due Diligence and review customer risk assessments for completeness and accuracy.
• Test the effectiveness and consistency of AML business risk assessment controls across jurisdictions and track remediation.
• Support the update of AML Policies & Procedures for all jurisdictions.
• Assist internal AML‑related audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Draft, update and deliver AML training materials and workshop content.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in AML compliance or a related field.
• Good knowledge of AML/CTF regulations and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with AML processes such as Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and SAR/STR procedures.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and organizational skills.
