Fraud Data Analyst – Credit Card Risk & Analytics

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Fraud Data Analyst to lead fraud strategy for our credit‑card portfolio in Malta. The role combines data engineering, analytics and risk management to protect customers and support product growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own fraud controls across customer acquisition and management, including cut‑off settings, line‑assignment and authorization programs.
• Lead ad‑hoc and regular analytics on key risk indicators, track variance to plan and inform strategy.
• Develop and maintain a dynamic management‑information suite that monitors risk appetite and live test results.
• Communicate credit‑risk performance to bank committees and propose value‑add strategies.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Decision Science and other bank teams.
• Document credit‑risk processes and ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
• Contribute to collections, recoveries and overall fraud strategy.
• Deliver timely fraud solutions that improve customer experience while supporting growth plans.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an analytical role, preferably within credit or financial services.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Pro‑active mindset with a desire to innovate.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.
