Credit & Data Analyst – Malta (Work Permit/EU Passport required)

About the role

We are looking for a Credit/Data Analyst with a strong technical background to shape our Credit Card strategy. You will help build new credit risk strategies, develop data and reporting infrastructure, and support product growth for a maturing portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Drive credit risk strategies and performance across acquisition and management stages, including cut‑off setting, line assignment, affordability, authorisation and line‑management programs.
• Perform ad‑hoc and regular analytics on key risk indicators, track variance to plan and inform strategy.
• Develop and maintain a management information suite covering risk appetite, live testing and trend analysis.
• Influence credit risk messaging across the business and present value‑add strategies to bank committees.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Decision Science and other bank teams.
• Document credit risk processes and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory standards.
• Contribute to collections, recoveries and fraud strategies.
• Support growth plans by delivering timely credit solutions while improving customer experience.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in credit, banking or a similar analytical role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or numerical discipline.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time‑management skills.
• Pro‑active attitude with a desire to innovate.
• Experience with credit cards or retail lending products is a plus.
