Compliance Analyst – Malta (EU Passport required)

About the role

We are looking for a Compliance Analyst to support our Compliance Manager in ensuring that the bank meets all applicable regulations. The role is based in Malta and requires the candidate to hold an EU passport.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in fulfilling the bank's compliance obligations under various laws, rules and regulations.
• Support the maintenance, improvement and introduction of controls to mitigate compliance risks.
• Participate in compliance monitoring, testing and analysis, flagging any deficiencies.
• Escalate concerns to the Compliance Manager and help implement new tests or reviews.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date compliance register and contribute to a strong compliance culture across the organisation.
• Provide ad‑hoc support to the Compliance Manager on projects and tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Banking, finance or law‑related qualification from a reputable European university or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of experience in a similar compliance role.
• Good knowledge of Maltese and European banking legislation.
• Strong organisational abilities, ability to work under pressure and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
