Platform Engineering Tech Lead, Cloud - Infra

About the role

As a Platform Engineering Tech Lead you will provide hands‑on technical leadership for a team that builds and operates cloud and platform capabilities powering Betsson Group’s applications and customer experiences. The focus is on AWS, edge and platform technologies while collaborating closely with Kubernetes specialists and architects.

Key responsibilities

• Shape technical solutions with architects, define approaches, run proofs‑of‑concept and drive engineering standards across cloud, edge and platform technologies.
• Coach and unblock engineers, share knowledge, conduct code reviews and ensure knowledge is distributed across the team.
• Lead incident response and root‑cause analysis, guaranteeing production‑ready, resilient solutions with proper rollback strategies.
• Champion observability by defining logs, metrics, traces and service‑level objectives.
• Build and evolve AWS‑based capabilities using Infrastructure as Code, automation (Terraform, Ansible) and modern CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with Kubernetes, Observability, Delivery, Security and Architecture teams to maintain a cohesive platform ecosystem.

Required profile

• Strong experience delivering AWS and cloud engineering in production environments.
• Hands‑on knowledge of AWS edge and networking services such as CloudFront, Route 53, WAF, load balancing, CDN and edge computing.
• Good working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerised platforms.
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, especially Terraform and Ansible, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and provide technical leadership without formal management authority.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical decisions, trade‑offs and risks.
