Junior Finance Associate – Entry Level

About the role

Our client, a leading corporate service provider in Malta, is seeking a Junior Associate for its Finance Team. This entry‑level position offers the chance to develop core accounting skills while supporting daily financial operations in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Post purchase invoices, journals, bank statements and general ledger entries accurately and promptly.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with approved budgets and procurement policies.
• Record daily receipts, allocate payments to client invoices and monitor outstanding receivables.
• Perform bank and ledger reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and support month‑end closing activities.
• Generate system‑based reports such as receivable statements, transaction listings and historical billing data.

Required profile

• Minimum A Level qualification in Accounting; AAT qualification is an asset.
• Fluent in written and spoken Maltese and English.
• Organised, reliable and able to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Capable of working independently while being a strong team player.
• Positive, ‘can‑do’ attitude with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
