Audit Manager

About the role

KPMG Malta is seeking an Audit Manager to lead audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients across Malta. You will work with a skilled team of audit professionals, delivering high‑quality audit services while developing your technical and leadership capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audit teams for entities in financial institutions, gaming, private enterprises and other sectors operating in Malta.
• Manage multiple audit projects, coordinating with local and global KPMG resources and ensuring effective project management and financial metric monitoring.
• Determine appropriate engagement team structure and resource allocation, balancing workload and deadlines.
• Uphold audit quality standards and adopt new methodologies and technologies.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members, fostering their professional growth.
• Supervise and review engagement work to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with audit leaders to optimise the client portfolio, building new relationships and nurturing existing ones.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 4 years of external audit experience within a Big 4 audit firm.
• Strong eye for detail and excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Professional integrity, discretion with confidential information and ability to meet agreed timelines.
• Proactive, career‑driven team player with strong organisational and time‑management skills.
