Tile Layer (Tiler)

About the role

A skilled and detail-oriented Tile Layer is sought to join a construction team in Malta. The tiler prepares surfaces and installs ceramic, marble, granite and other tiles on floors, walls and other surfaces according to project specifications and quality standards. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Cut tiles and shape them with power and hand tools so they fit around obstacles and in tight corners.
• Form tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue or mortar with screeds, brushes and trowels.
• Align tiles with straightedges, levels and squares to keep patterns even and precise.
• Prepare surfaces with waterproofing or lath and clean them properly.
• Create decorative wall and floor designs.
• Cut, install, polish and surface granite and marble accurately.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Tile Layer in the construction industry.
• Experience installing ceramic, porcelain, marble and granite finishes.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and layout plans.
• Physically fit for manual work and able to work independently and in a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites.
• Good command of English.

• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

What we offer

• Gross monthly salary of 1,559.70 to 2,079.60 euros (1.75 to 2.33 lakh INR), depending on experience, qualifications and licence category.
