Technical Inventory Officer

About the role

The Technical Inventory Officer ensures the Technical Department runs smoothly by maintaining an accurate, up‑to‑date inventory of all technical spare parts and equipment aboard the vessel. Working closely with the Chief Engineer, you will coordinate procurement, storage, and distribution to keep the ship’s technical functions uninterrupted.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee inventory of technical spare parts and equipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage inventory requests, receiving, storage, and distribution processes.
• Coordinate with vendors and technical personnel to procure required items.
• Maintain stock levels, minimize waste, and optimise inventory turnover.
• Ensure all procedures follow maritime safety and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Technical Inventory Officer or Engine Storekeeper on a cruise ship.
• Strong understanding of technical spare parts, procurement processes, and inventory management systems.
• Fluency in English (oral and written) for effective communication.
• Ability to work methodically, manage multiple tasks and maintain accuracy under pressure.
• Knowledge of maritime safety and compliance regulations related to technical inventory.
