Store Manager - Tommy Hilfiger Valletta

About the role

Hudson Group, an international retailer and distributor in sport and fashion wear, is hiring a Store Manager for its Tommy Hilfiger store in Valletta. The position is full-time, based in the store and reports to the Retail Operations Manager. The store manager oversees all operations needed for the store to run smoothly, delivering swift and polite customer service while upholding the brand's reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out actions raised on productivity reports from retail operations and country banner, and handle customer complaints and queries effectively
• Adhere to brand guidelines, collection planning and visual merchandising (VM) standards
• Manage the store budget covering sales, payroll and operational costs
• Provide day-to-day training on customer service and store operations, and own staff appraisals
• Recruit and select staff according to brand guidelines and allocated headcount, create rosters and ensure accurate timesheet reporting
• Coordinate staff by working areas and product specialisations, and ensure the outlet is well maintained
• Ensure sales assistants have the equipment and products they need, and that items are defect-free, correctly displayed and priced
• Ensure security measures are in place and functioning
• Direct reports include Assistant Store Manager, Senior Sales Assistants, Sales Assistants, Stock Room Keeper and In Store Visual Merchandiser

Required profile

• At least 2 years' experience in a retail store, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role
• Knowledge of financial and customer service principles
• Sales-driven with a good understanding of KPIs such as top-line sales, conversion rates, labour costs, stock loss and mystery shopper ratings
• Business acumen to make commercial decisions
• Flexibility to work in shifts
