Senior Executive – Accounting

About the role

ARQ Services Limited is seeking a motivated Senior Executive – Accounting to join its fast‑paced team. Reporting to the Accounting Supervisor, you will manage a portfolio of clients and ensure high‑quality financial and tax services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, preparing and reviewing management accounts and tax returns.
• Prepare and review monthly VAT returns and VAT recapitulative statements.
• Liaise with external auditors and ensure compliance with reporting standards.
• Develop technical expertise and mentor junior accountants.
• Delegate tasks to junior staff, reviewing work for quality control.
• Meet with clients, address queries, and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Full accounting qualification or nearing completion of a master’s degree in Accounting, ACA or ACCA.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a client‑accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAPSME, the Income Tax Act and the VAT Act.
• Proficient in MS Excel and comfortable with standard accounting software; willingness to learn company‑specific tools.
• Excellent written and spoken English, strong interpersonal skills, and high ethical standards.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
