Senior Client Accountant

About the role

A family‑run CSP is looking for an experienced, proactive Senior Client Accountant to manage a portfolio of Maltese clients. You will own the full accounting process, from bookkeeping to financial reporting and tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage a portfolio of Maltese clients and act as the main point of contact for auditors, banks and regulators.
• Handle the complete accounting cycle, including transaction processing, reconciliations, management accounts and financial statements.
• Prepare VAT returns, tax returns and statutory filings in line with Maltese regulations.
• Monitor financial performance, provide reporting, analysis and practical business support.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and audit processes.

Required profile

• Fluency in Maltese and English.
• Fully qualified accountant (ideal) with 3‑5 years of local client‑accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Maltese accounting, VAT and tax requirements.
• Valid driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with accounting software.

What we offer

• Salary between €35,000 and €45,000 per year.
