Residence Manager

About the role

The Residence Manager leads the Residence Hosts team on Explora Journeys luxury cruise ships, delivering a world‑class butler service and ensuring each guest receives personalized, anticipatory care throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests on arrival, oversee their settlement, and supervise daily operations of the Residence team.
• Provide on‑the‑spot training and coaching, ensuring compliance with food safety procedures and quality standards.
• Monitor guest routines to anticipate needs, handling bookings, luggage, laundry, and residence decoration.
• Offer concierge‑type services, accompany guests on excursions when requested, and maintain high standards in the Owner Suite.
• Ensure daily adherence to Explora Journeys’ Standard Procedures and Residence Hosts’ standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree from an internationally certified hotel school.
• Minimum three years of experience in a similar luxury hotel or resort role.
• Intermediate knowledge of food safety and basic understanding of ISO 22000.
• Flexibility, outstanding customer‑care skills, and strong communication abilities.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional European language is a plus.

Required skills

• Food safety knowledge (HACCP, ISO 22000).
• Computer proficiency.
