Project Manager – Refrigeration Projects

About the role

We are seeking an organised, technically‑minded Project Manager to lead refrigeration projects from concept through to hand‑over. The role acts as the central hub between clients, designers, suppliers, installers and internal teams, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage refrigeration projects from design through installation, commissioning and hand‑over.
• Review project requirements, drawings, specifications and technical information.
• Coordinate with designers and technical teams to ensure designs are practical for installation.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules, budgets and implementation plans.
• Coordinate procurement and delivery of refrigeration equipment, materials and components.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, installers and other external parties.
• Coordinate site activities and monitor progress against schedules.
• Identify and resolve technical, logistical and project‑related issues.
• Monitor project costs and ensure work remains within the approved budget.
• Ensure installations comply with technical, safety and quality requirements.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding progress, requirements and changes.
• Manage variations and changes to project scope.
• Conduct site visits and inspections as required.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging and final project hand‑over.
• Compile all project documentation, drawings, manuals and completion records.
• Report progress, risks, delays and costs to management.

Required profile

• Previous experience in project management, refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical services, construction or a related technical field.
• Good understanding of commercial refrigeration systems and installations.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Practical, hands‑on approach to project management.
• Valid driving licence.
